Legazpi Sunday Market offers a range of products from healthy food choices to amazing handcrafted items. Whether you’re looking for some fresh produce, home decorations, healthy meals, or comfort food, you’re in for an awesome morning at this weekend market.

A few months back, the boyfriend and I visited Salcedo Saturday Market to buy some plants and (of course) check out the delicious offerings I’ve been hearing about for a long time. After that trip, I planned on going to the Legazpi Sunday Market to see if it’s as good as Salcedo’s. Finally, we were able to wake up early enough to visit it today.

Here are some of the things you’ll find if you’re looking for:

Healthy Options

It’s not always easy to get your hands on fresh produce, especially when you’re living in the city’s business district. Often, you have to settle with fast food or packed items found at the nearby grocery. Weekend markets like this give busy parents (and yuppies) the chance to enjoy nutritious and delicious home-cooked meals.

Compared to Salcedo Saturday Market, we found more healthy and organic choices at this weekend market.

This is not your usual grilled chicken cooked to perfection. According to the guy at the stall, they don’t use MSG and soy sauce for their chicken. How can we say no to this? We tried it out and oh, it’s so yummy!

You’ll also find some vendors participating in both weekend events such as Stanford x Shaw that is selling ginger ale (our favorite! ) and Pinoy Or-dürvz that is offering specialty bottle food options.

Comfort Food

If you’re not so much into the fancy, shmancy organic and healthy stuff, you’ll also find a lot of sinfully, delicious food choices.

We also found some Thai and Singaporean cuisines.

Among all the choices, this Indonesian food stall has the longest line. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take a photo of their offerings because there was just too many people!

Things for Your Home

You’ll also find beautiful ornaments and handcrafted items.

Of all the things that we saw at the Sunday market, here’s our best buy for the day:

Forest Berries Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream from Lava Ice Cream Cafe. They will make the ice cream when you order it. This flavor has just the right amount of sweetness in it.

If you have no plans for next weekend, why not pencil in a trip to Legazpi Sunday Market? It’s just at Herrera street corner Legazpi and Salcedo V.A. Rufino streets. It’s open from 7 am to 2 pm.
