Have a full day and got no time for a proper meal or even a quick snack? Don’t break your diet by settling for fast-food delivery! Mug Shot offers delicious, filling, and guilt-free options to help get you through your busy day.
Over the past weeks, I’ve tried different Mug Shot flavors from PH Deli. Here’s why you should try them too:
Mug Shot comes in different kinds, such as noodles and pasta. Unlike other instant food items, these have no artificial colors and preservatives. If you are counting calories or are conscious about your fat intake, then go for Mug Shot. It is a low-fat and low-calorie snack that’s perfect for you. Mug Shot Roast Chicken Pasta, for instance, has less than 1% fat. One serving is just 221 kcal — less than the calorie of that single-patty cheeseburger you were planning to get .
Trying to eat healthy doesn’t mean eating bland food. With Mug Shot, you can enjoy your favorite flavors minus the calories. And because it’s so filling, you can even substitute it for a meal.
Available flavors offered by PH Deli are:
- Creamy Cheese
- Roast Chicken
- Tomato & Herb
- Chicken & Sweetcorn
- Thai Noodles
- Macaroni Cheese
- Spicy Tomato
- BBQ Noodles
- Minestrone Pasta
- Sweet & Sour Noodles
- Tikka Masala
- Chinese Style
Of the three options I tried, I liked the Creamy Cheese Mug Shot pasta the most. I loved how Mug Shot was able to add flavor to the pasta without making it too salty. The pasta and noodles all turned out really well after five minutes. They weren’t undercooked or soggy.
Mug Shot is easy to prepare. Open the packet, transfer the contents into a mug (or bowl), add boiling water, stir, and wait for five minutes. It’s a more convenient alternative to having food delivered.
A piece of advice, though. For the pasta, it’s best not to fill the mug with too much water, otherwise it’ll turn out very watered down. I had the mistake of doing that with Roast Chicken Pasta, the first time I had Mug Shot. While the pasta still tasted great, the sauce turned out very thin that it appeared to be a noodle soup (as you can see in the picture).
When I prepared the Creamy Cheese pasta, I added just enough water to cover the contents of the mug. The result? The Mug Shot I was hoping to get — creamy and tasty.
Look, even my cat is ready for a Mug!
