Located along Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City, Meza Clara is the perfect place to unwind after a long day’s work. It doesn’t even matter what time you want to chill out because they’re open round-the-clock (except for Sundays). Whether you’re ending a toxic shift at a call center nearby, celebrating a successful meeting with a client, or simply having a Me Time, Meza Clara will make that well-deserved rest even better.
We visited the restaurant on a Friday night and it was awesome!
Meza Clara reminds me of some places at Timog and Tomas Morato that I used to visit in college. Let me expound on that a little.
The restaurant has a very homey feel. I especially liked the interiors. It gives off a very friendly vibe. We arrived when Meza Clara was in full swing, yet the crew remained friendly and attentive to our needs.
People (guests and crews alike) were all smiles — as if we’ve all known each other for years. Eric, the host and singer, even took the time to stop by our table when he was on a short break to ask if we have any song requests or if we wanted to jam with him because it’s open mic.
If you’re in the mood for al fresco dining or you need to smoke, just take the stairs to the second level and enjoy a good inuman session with your friends.
Meza Clara offers a fusion of Fil-Mex dishes with a twist.
If you’re up for something different, try their Chicken Kare-Kare.
For a dish that is light but filling, their version of soft tacos is perfect for you.
When at Meza Clara, don’t forget to try their quesadilla! It was so good we were tempted to order another plate.
What’s a bar without an awesome bar list? Meza Clara made it a point to offer your favorites and throw in something new for your taste buds.
If you love beer, try their flavored beers. Your choices are Toffee Nut, Salted Caramel, Black Currant, Green Apple, Passion Fruit, and Wild Berry. Of the three that we ordered, I loved the Wild Berry flavored beer so much that I had to order another glass.
For cocktails, we recommend their Cucumber Mojito. You can also try Earthquake (bottle on the far left of the pic), Meza Clara’s unique offering. What’s in it? You’d have to visit the bar to find out.
Other cocktails available are Margarita, Sex on the Beach, Whisky Sour, Tequila Sunrise, Cosmopolitan, and more.
